Brief Answer:
All lab reports are within normal range. Can get kappa & lambda chain levels

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query Ask a doctor forum.
All the investigations posted by you are within normal limits.
These investigations do not suggest any plasma cell dyscrasia.
The abnormal red blood cell count, hemoglobin and hematocrit are slightly lower than the normal range, however, there is nothing to worry.
The ratio of kappa to lambda chains is slightly lower than normal.
A low kappa to lambda ratio does not suggest any disease process, however, you can get absolute levels of kappa and lambda chains.

Thanks and take care

Thank you very much, Dr. Puri.

Absolute results of kappa to lambda are within normal range. Is there any explanation of the cause of that low kappa to lambda ratio?

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Low kappa to lambda ratio has no specific cause. repeat CBC with 1-2 months

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
There is no specific reason for low kappa to lambda ratio.
I suggest you to repeat your complete blood counts (CBC) within 1-2 months.
In case the hemoglobin levels fall further, the cause for anemia needs to be found out.

Thanks and take care

Thank you again, Dr. Puri. Based on these results, what you would do to keep looking for the origin of this anemia? Thank you

Brief Answer:
Low Hb may be cause by nutritional deficiency, blood loss,RBC destruction

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome again,
Anemia may be caused due to various causes like nutritional deficiency, loss of blood or destruction of red blood cells.
Currently the hemoglobin (Hb) levels are almost normal.
In case, the hemoglobin levels falls subsequently then the underlying cause needs to be found out with various tests like iron, vitamin B 12, folic acid, stool for occult blood etc.

Currently nothing to worry.
Thanks and take care
