Hello All, I Have Been Getting Headaches All Over And

Question: Hello all,

I have been getting headaches all over and a dizzy feeling symptom that comes along with it. I have went to the ENT doctor here and diagnosed it as vertigo migraine. I have been on meds prescribed by the doctor, the good news is the the dizzy feeling has not been coming at all however the headache is still coming in from different parts in the head, sometimes around the head but most of times above the head in the middle. I am concerned because i have never had a headache my whole life and it still comes in , the pain from headache is not severe it just feel uncomfortable and something is wrong. I also ran an mri on the head which was fine (attached) , it only stated I have a tiny cyctic lesion in my head which the doctors said it has nothing to do with what i am feeling , would like your confirmation on that as well. And also this cystic lesion is it from birth ? or is it something recent ? how can we tell ? is it something concerning ?

I have been prescribed meds which are

beraserc

stugron

fewmig

I am on these medications (betaserc and stugeron) for almost 18 days and added the fewmig for almost 8 days now. The question here when should i get results of not getting this migraine (how long does it take to remove this migraine?) and is there anything else you may suspect.

Also by abdomen(left one mainly) is feeling full with gas i think but the meds effect says this is an effect it gives , is there another reason ?

Sorry for the long text but as you can see i have many concerns.

Thank you

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I do not think currently you are dealing with migraine headaches as migraine headaches are rarely present as discomfort and generally have episodic nature (once in few days to once in months/years). Continuous headache with mild discomfort at top of the head often present among individuals with tension type headache, a category of most common headaches. The other possible cause for your current headache is sinusitis as migraines rarely present in this manner.

It is almost clear that the lesion found on the brain is just an incidental finding and nothing to do with your headache. The brain area with cyst does not produce headache and probably this is congenital (from birth) as the lesion appears of long duration and non traumatic (not due to some injury).

Presence of excessive gas in abdomen also corroborates to the tension type headache and this needs to be keep in mind while diagnosing.

I hope this answers you.
Feel free to write back to me if you have more questions.
Thanks and regards.

Brief Answer:
I think you need to consult different specialist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

Yes it is very common to get dizziness and headaches when we are stressed out. In other words tension type headache can present with headache and dizziness.

Regarding the medication I feel you need to consult different specialist for second opinion as possibility of misdiagnosis can not be ruled out.

Generally individuals with migraine need atleast 3 months to get complete relief and no two individuals are similar in terms of response achieved with a set of medications.

I do not there is need to worry as this is common disorder and variety of treatment options are available.

I hope this answers you.

Thank you doctor

Today i went to excercise i felt like slight lightheadedness came back and the headache as well

Does this confirm that this is a tension type headache?

Is it normal for tension type headachea last for more than a month ?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

Presence of headache while exercising does not confirm anything whether it is tension type headache or migraine.

Tension type headache can last for years provided the causative agents remain active or the problem is not treated well.

I hope this answers you further.
Thanks and regards.
