Brief Answer:
Increasing fluid intake can help.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The milk production is dependant on frequent suckling by the infant and will gradually improve or decrease according to that.
Other factors that are helpful in improving milk flow are ample rest, fluid intake in excess of 3 litres in a day, high protein diet and diets having Calories in excess some 600Calories over and above the daily energy expenditure.

Because you have already started the baby on other supplement, your breast milk is unlikely to pick up. But you should still try.

Abdominal pain in babies is difficult to diagnose as small child never gives you any sign and symptoms except crying.
Almost all infants have underdeveloped digestive system and hence it is quite difficult for them to digest whatever is given to them including mother’s own milk. The colic starts as soon as intestines receive the food material let it be milk only.

There could be lactose intolerance in which, the intestines are unable to digest the lactose present in milk.Using lactose free formula might bring in some relief.
Other reasons for abdominal pain may include constipation (which is more common in infants) are again due to less capacity to digest the food material by their intestines.
Some infants and babies may produce gas in stomach and so in intestines; that may again lead to develop abdominal colic or pain. In infants, they should not be overfed as it may result in vomiting and gastro-intestinal disturbance.
Anti spasmodic drops may be given in restricted doses for immediate relief.
There are some home remedies like giving less than one milliliter of ginger juice and a very little pinch of rock salt. You can also give your baby the holy basil’s juice, which is very effective most of the times.
To rule out the presence of any organic cause, you can go for ultrasound scan and X-ray of abdomen erect under the guidance of your pediatrician.

Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.

I had developed severe itching before delivery something like pubbs but it was not bile acid
It was that severe that I had to deliver 15 days early

Now after a month of delivery I have developed severe itching again and it’s like prickly heat I get cold sweats complete body sweating and heat generation feeling in the body.. it’s like my body is kept on fire it’s that burning sensation from inside What medication can I take and for how long which does not interfere with milk production

Brief Answer:
You can stop taking Domstal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing in again.

The severe itching that you have can be related to hormonal changes or hepatic problems. You need to consult your physician to get a few tests done to find out the exact cause.

Taking Domstal or medicines are not likely to help in increasing milk production now. You can stop Domstal and increase protein and fluid intake.

Hope my answer is helpful.
