Question: Hello doctor, I am 38 year old living in Australia. Since Thursday afternoon I have increased urge to pee. It doesn't bother in the night so far but while i am awake i feel like going to pee every hour, but the quantity is less no fever so far nor pain while going to pee (except once yesterday), I have seen a local doctor here and he did a quick test and said urine looked normal but would send it to lab, meanwhile I tested blood sugar at home and it was 99 in fasting. I think yesterday I drank very less water and my mouth has become very dry. my worry is what could be causing this? and is there something concerning medication: I take a local medicine called restavit to help stay asleep and I have been taking for a while now.

Based on the facts that the sudden onset of urge to pass urine that you have since yesterday is mostly due to UTI,

Get your routine urine test and urine culture done to find out the organisms causing this infection and antibiotics to which they are sensitive to.

Take broad spectrum antibiotics like Cefixime along with urinary antiseptic like Nitrofurantoin twice daily and urine alkaliser thrice daily.Later on switch on to appropriate antibiotics as per culture report.

Taking anti cholinergic drug like Darifenacin once daily will help to reduce urge to pass urine

Get the prescription of medicines from your family Physician.

Ensure to drink more water to keep urine dilute
