Hello Doctor, I Was Curious...Over The Past Two Or Three
Question: Hello doctor,
I was curious...Over the past two or three days, I've been having right shoulder/RUQ pain after eating. Specifically, when I turn my head to the right or the left, it causes soreness on my upper right shoulder. I was wondering what can cause this when I DO NOT have a gallbladder? Wondering if I should be concerned. Im 32, overweight, but no history of heart disease (but was told once that I have a slightly enlarged heart, but nothing to be concerned of).

Brief Answer:
Cervical pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for choosing "Ask a Doctor " service for your query,
Have seen your details,
Very likely the pain you are having is cervical in nature and is related to your weight.
I would suggest you to go for a MRI scan screening of cervical spine to rule out the cause.
Keep your neck stable. If possible use neck supporter for few days.
Give ice sponging thrice daily.
Correct your sleep posture.Don't move your head in the posture which causes pain.
Continue anti inflammatory like Ibuprofen twice daily.
If not relieved and MRI screening is normal then would consider further differencial diagnosis.
Follow up with reports.
Things would be better in few days.
