Question: Hello doctor,

My father was suffering from Herpes 3 weeks ago. He is diabetic and aged 64 now.

My elder son is aged 2.5 years now. He has done boils on his stomach, right hand, left hand and legs. Kindly let us know if this is related and serious. What needs to be done now, should we visit hospital?

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
better to get him examined by the Pediatrician/take to the hospital...

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've checked all the images...

This may or may not be related to the recent onset history of herpes, but we can't take any chances in that scenario...

So, better to get him examined by his Pediatrician or take him to the hospital for further observation and examination (if it's a measles outbreak the rashes will be more pronounced within a while)...

Yes, you should get him clinically examined...

Take Care
Kind Regards

Hello doctor, we got my elder checked and the doctor ruled out Herpes based on investigation.

However, my younger son has got this small blister / pimple. Can you please check the attached image and let us know if we should be worried?

Thanks,

Brief Answer:
he needs to be examined by the Pediatrician...

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

I've checked the pictures and it's not really prominent/conclusive...However, given the recent onset herpes outbreak, he needs to be examined by the Pediatrician thoroughly (some investigations may also be done based on the findings)...

Nothing to worry as such, but do get him examined by the Pediatrician in the first place...

Take Care
Kind Regards
