Hello Doctor, Recently My Wife Was Experiencing Frequent Urine Sensation
Question: Hello doctor,
Recently my wife was experiencing frequent urine sensation and stomach cramps. we visited doctor and she suggested urine examination. we did CUE and culture sensitivity test and report says UTI. leucocytes- Positive , pus cells range 20-25/hpf , epithelial cells 10-15 /hpf.
Could you suggest medication for this please

Reports indicate urinary tract infection where the infection is from E coli bacteria. She should be treated with antibiotics. I would prefer to treat her with injectable amikacin or ciprofloxacin and nitrofurantoin tablets. However I will recommend you to report back to the doctor. The doctor who has examined her will known her general condition and other organ system status. Therefore he / she is best equipped to judge the right antibiotic - whether oral or injectable medications.
