Hello, I Have A Swelling And Bruising On My Left

Question: Hello, i have a swelling and bruising on my left foot on the ballish bone on the side (at the bottom of the big toe), super touch senstive, and struggling to bend big toe up and down, also the bruised area is constantly quite warm, i previously had gout the week before but this has never happened previously (i've had this issue for about 2-3 weeks now, in this period i had took a box of 400mg ibuprofen, but no difference), any ideas? Thank You Paul

I believe it could be another gouty attack in early stages. If you do develop swelling, redness and restricted movement of the toe then it is best to get it check by the doctor to rule out infection.

In acute stages Colchicine is quite helpful. Your GP should be able to help you with the prescription.

For relief you may ice it and keep the foot elevated.
