Question: Hello , im a bus operator, with a workers compsenion injury. Im having sharp pain in my shoulder, shoulder blade, arm pit, upper arm, elbow and forearm. all on the right side. sometimes pain in my right pinky finger. Ice cold and numbness and weakness from the elbow to finger tips. im diagnosis with right lateral epicondylitis, triceps tendinosis, elbow tendinitis and tendinitis in rotator cuff. my elbow problem started in 4/2017, shoulder started in 11/18. I had two MRI C-spine, both is normal, 1 EMG test, positive for cervical radiculopathy at C6. My doctor say that my EMG is incorrect due to two MRI normal. I ask for a second opinion and was denied. my injury has worsen.
What should i be asking for? should i get another EMG? is this a muscle or a nerve issue?

Hi there

Thanks for the query

I have fear your query and understood your problem.

Based in the fact that the pain radiates upto the little finger, this is definitely a nerve issue.

You can get an EMG in this case. Also since the cervical spine MRI was normal, there could be compression of the nerve after the spine. A thorough clinical examination will help find the region.

I hope I have answered your query.

I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
