Question: Hello, my name is Noah Allmon. I was diagnosed with Chlamydia a couple months ago. Got prescribed azythromicin which didn’t help. Got prescribed again and it worked for a couple days. I was seeing if there is any possible way to get a stronger antibiotic that will help me get rid of it. Thank you!

Brief Answer:
You and your partner should get treated at the same time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think you have taken the right treatment but even your partner should have taken it.
If you take the treatment you get cured for a couple of days and you get reinfectied by your partner while having sexual contact since it is a sexually transmitted disease.
You should take azithromycin or doxocycline for at least 7 days and your partner should take it too at the same time. This way you both get cleared otherwise the treatment doesn't work.

Hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
Do a urine culture, Doxycycline can be used too.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.

It can be epididymitis caused by chlamydia or any other bacterial the symptoms may be similar but only a urine culture can show the type of bacteria causing it.

If you used Azithromycin and it was not successful then you can use Doxycycline for 7 days and get retested 7 days after finishing the treatment.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you for your response! The only thing that worries me is that I haven’t had sex since these symptoms. So I couldn’t of been reinfected by them. I did some research but Could epiditimitis be a cause of the symptoms still since it can be caused from chlamydia? If so what do I need for that?
