Hello, My Wife Has Noticed, Twice Now, Last Time Being
Question: Hello, my wife has noticed, twice now, last time being last Wednesday, after farting, some mucus like substance came out, Also intermittent pain in the left stomach area.

Some amount of Mucus in the stool is normal.If it is more,then she should be investigated.It can be due to Infection, Inflammatory bowel disease etc
Pain in the left side of the abdomen can be due to Issues in Large intestine.
I prefer Colonoscopy which visualises the Colon.
Ultrasound Abdomen may be necessary too.
Please consult a Gastroenterologist and proceed further.
