Hello, My Work Shift Timings Are 8 Am To 5

Question: Hello, my work shift timings are 8 am to 5 pm I stay in hostel and hence food isn't prepared by that time in my hostel. so what I am thinking to do is , everyday at dinner I will prepare two boxes for next day. one for breakfast - rice and curry, second for lunch - 4 roti (thin) and pickle or curry. I will store them in fridge and next day I will have them for breakfast and will heat roti in microwave oven for lunch. is this harmful for health ? I am trying to reduce weight . I go to gym in the evening. thanks in advance.
Brief Answer:
Yes it can be harmful
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Food can be stored in refrigerator for few days. In freezer it can be saved for few weeks. It is fine if the electricity does not go off e.g in western countries. In fact in western countries they eat a lot of stored/refrigerated food without affecting their health.
But in XXXXXXX conditions, improper refrigeration can cause germs to grow rapidly.
So be careful.
Its better to eat self-cooked fresh food everytime.
Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
