Hello, Recently I've Been Put On Finasteride For About A

Question: Hello, recently I've been put on finasteride for about a month. I've used it on and off due to side effects. The first week i took it for two days then stop due to side effects. Waited ten days later tried again at a lower dose at half the tablet for one day, then quit due to side effects. Then when i ask a doctor, they suggest this could be in my head since these side effects are to soon. I don't want to lose my hair, but i do suffer from anxiety attacks. So then i waited fourteen days for the side effects of going away then tried again on the 30 days for three days then stop due to side effects.
My question is are these side effects permanent? Should i continue through the side effects? And should i lower the dose?

Brief Answer:
You could try another drug
Detailed Answer:
Hi Davidkelley97,
First of all, the side effects will subside once you stop taking them. Since reducing the dose didn't work, you could try another drug, e.g. tamsulosine, that acts like an anti adrenergic drug and lowers urinary resistance. How does that sound?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
