Question: Hello, so I’m 25 years old male, recently had unprotected anal sex while using meth, I got a little carried away and I somewhat injured my self, I felt pain and had to stop for that brief moment, now 24 hours later I’ve been coming down off the meth, haven’t been able to sleep or eat, no steady erection and constipation, and I recently tried using the restroom and I pushed real hard cause I’m constipated and I started haveing pains in my groin , lower back, and bottom area , looked up what it could be and came to conclusion I have Prostatitis, but most symptoms are also symptoms of meth, any advice, suggestions, anything? Kind of scared

Brief Answer:
acute constipation and systemic effects of meth use.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, the symptoms of painful defecation, lower
back and groin ache are concerned with acute constipation induced by
meth use.
* There does not sound issue of grave injury which presents with severe,
excruciating pain, difficulty in voiding urine, bleeding per rectum and other
features.
* Prostate injury is not possible with erect penis ejaculating in rectum or
anal canal, unless any other sharp object is used for extra pleasure or
adventure.
And again prostatitis develop over a period of 2-3 days after urinary
infection with E. coli in most cases and the anal intercourse is not a
common cause of the same.
My guidelines at present
- Drink plenty of liquids.
- Consume high fiber diet including green leafy veg, cereals, pulses,
legumes, whole grains, butter milk.
- Avoid all spices, non veg, junk food and dairy fat.
- Analgesic tablet as acetaminophen ( 500 mg ) 3 times a day after meals.
- Tablet Bisacodyl ( 10 mg ) once at night for 2 days.
- Try to make yourself more relaxed and avoid panic, anxiety.
- Deep breathing exercises, meditations and YOGA will help tremendously.
- Avoid smoking and use of other recreational substances if involved.
* You will be absolutely fine within next 24 hours, so avoid all regrets of
what has happened and focus on your bright future.
Do feel free to discuss further as per your need.
Wish you best recovery.
Take care.

Hello so I woke up and had this pain in my stomach like I was bloated , having a little trouble on toilet still, I’m able to go however not at the same rate as I am use to, i urinated at a slow rate and took me a little longer than usual to push it out, no burn sensation though

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
* Pain in the stomach is mostly related to stress-induced gastritis or bloated intestine
from constipation.
* Intake of proton pump inhibitor as Omeprazole ( 20 mg ) with sips of
water on an empty stomach will help a great way.
* Trouble with passing motion is usually settled down within next 2-3 days
as the gut rhythm is adjusted within this time.
* Drinking plenty of liquids will surely help urinary flow and stream clearance
within few hours only.

I sat on toilet for about 10-15 minutes, I was able to go (slowly) and not solid, once I got up I got some pretty intense stomach pains, like bloating almost like I wanted to throw up, on a scale of 1-10 the discomfort was around a 6 or 7 , I’m drinking water and sat next to the fan and I’m feeling a little better however that pain is still there , but I feel slight relief if I burp or let gas out

Hi
* As the intensity of cramps is 6 out of 10, I would recommend you to get a prescription of antispasmodic medicine as drotaverine or dicyclomine from your primary care provider.
And the same should be consumed after meals twice a day.
* If there are cramps after a period of 24 hours, you should discuss the need of
any ultrasound examination of abdomen and pelvis with your primary care
for further guidelines and care accordingly.
