Question: Hello there Doctor. I wanted to ask if i can get help with a concerning dark spots i have on my back. These spots are small brown and black looking spots. Mainly on the back of my shoulder and tricep. I have had for several years, but now it slowly seems to spread toward my entire back. I don't know what causes it. Please share your thoughts with me. Thank you. I can share a photo of it if needed.

It is known as pityriasis versicolor.

You can use a mild skin lightening cream like kojic acid daily in night.
