Hello There, Please Help. I Took A Thc Edible With

I took a thc edible with wax about 5 days ago. It was about 40 mg. I had a terrible experience and was hospitalized. For about 15 hours I had a needle burning sensation and i felt discomforting wave throughout my body. When I took the edible, I had not eaten in the last 20 plus hours. And still now, 5 days later I do not feel back to normal. My right side feels tingly when my heart beats, and I can't focus so well. Please help and let me know if it will ever go away. I would like to know if the wax somehow got stuck somewhere maybe In my system, I dont know. I am a male about 220 pounds and had never done this before. I am very frightened, and not even the hospital near me wishes to entertain my case. Please let me know how long this will last or what I can do. My current symptoms are basically feeling uneasy and my blood vessels feeling numb, and having to breath hard when walking....
Marijuana takes around 2-3 weeks to get cleared from system.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, the systemic effects of the Marijuana lasts for around 2-
3 weeks period of time as by that time, body clears the substance from the system.
* There are no specific medications for this issue and that is why you are feeling that
hospital is not entertaining your case.
* My guidelines for best recovery
- Maintain hydration with more liquids intake.
- Herbal tea has excellent beneficial outcome.
- Do deep breathing exercises, meditations, YOGA, fresh air walk.
- Remain ambulatory and involve more in likelihood activities.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption if involved.
- Try to get as sound sleep as possible ( about minimum of 6 hours ).
- Can have supportive prescription of medications from your health care provider as
Fluoxetine ( Prozec ) and Gabapentin for early symptomatic recovery.
- Most important is to avoid panic about the thought whether it will be cured or not, it
will surely be okay with time which system needs.
Do feel free to discuss further regarding the same.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome for follow up.
Tongue numbness is due to underlying anxiety and partial residual effects of Marijuana, there is no faulty circulation system for sure.
As I have already told, deep breathing and meditations will support best way to handle the symptoms, though in many cases medications to relieve anxiety and symptoms are needed for some period of time.
Wish you best health and recovery.
Thanks.
