Hello, Yesterday I Met With My Primary Doctor Regarding Concerns

default
Posted on Fri, 19 Apr 2019
Question: Hello, yesterday i met with my Primary doctor regarding concerns about leg/back/chest pain. After a few appointments, we are leaning toward either a herniated disk or sciatica. Today, my leg feels a bit better but i have lower left abdominal pain/discomfort as well as discomfort in my testicle.. Being a relativrly anxious individual, i would like to know if this type of pain or discomfort is possible symptoms of my nerve damage, if theres home remedies i can do to potentially remediate the issue, and/or if this should see immediate medical attention. if it doesnt, ill wait for an appointment followup i already have scheduled for Tuesday. i appreciate any advice provided a head of time and will attach a screenshot of my doctors assessments as well as what treatments weve done. All xrays and blood work are still pending results.

Brief Answer:
Related to herniated discs.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached reports. The mild pain in the lower abdomen and testicle that you are having now can be related to the nerve compression at the level of lower spine- due to sciatica and herniated discs. You can wait for your follow up appointment till tuesday. Taking rest and avoiding the painful activities will help. You can also keep a pillow under your knees while resting if it does not bother you. Mild back stretching exercises and mild pain killers will help in reducing your discomfort.
I hope this answers your query.

Thank you very much for your reply, it calmed my nerves quite a lot and most of the pain outside leg and back is much less today. That being said, my right hand and arm feel week and slightly inflamed. im assuming pain in the upper body isnt as correlated with a herniated disc or sciatica. Is this something of concern? i did sleep on my right arm but the feeling did not really feel prevalent until recently now in the evening time when I tried using my computer. Additionally, I have very little appetite but i think it's just how i feel due to my pain around my stomach. i havent felt nauseous before or after eating as of yet. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Can be due to herniated discs in cervical spine.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
The pain in the upper body can be related to herniated discs in the cervical spine. This can also be related to inappropriate working position on computer. The mild feeling of nausea can be related to gastritis. You can have medicines like Pantop- D for relief and avoid having hot and spicy foods.
Hope my answer is helpful.
