Hello,i Am 28 Years Old 241lb Male. I Have No

I have no family history of colon cancer but we do have family history of hemorrhoids and crohn disease and ulcers.
For almost 4 years i have this problem where i have blood in stool sometimes,it comes for a day or two and it disappears for months.this happen when i eat lots of spicy food and i hold my poop for hours even though i have to use the bathroom.
My stool shape is always flat and in small pieces unless i take Fiber supplements then it comes in normal shapes.
I am very very scared this is Colon cancer and its in stage 4 when i read on Google i see the other people who got diagnosed with colon cancer had same symptoms as me,also i do have small hemorrhoids around my anus but they don't hurt just itchy sometimes.
My question is in your experience is this colon cancer?also if my family doctor orders a colonguard would colonguard test detect colon cancer?thank you and happy new year
Screening test can be done.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing "Ask a Doctor" for your query,
Have seen your details,
Apart from massive bleeding which increases in months(you have a history of 4 years) there are many other symptoms which are associated with colon cancer like a persistent change in your bowel habits including diarrhea or constipation or a change in the consistency of your stool. Persistent abdominal discomfort, such as cramps, gas or pain and all these symptoms would keep on increasing with time and won't respond to medication or any treatment(From time i mean really fast over months).
Your age is just 28.I don't think its colon cancer.Mild bleeding is due to hemorrhoids.
But for mental satisfaction and as per screening of cancer a colon gaurd test can be done.
However its not cancer!
Follow ups are welcome.
Thank you!
