Hey Doctor, About Two Weeks I Obtained A Red Rash

Question: Hey doctor,
About two weeks I obtained a red rash on the shaft of my penis which the doc thought was dermatitis at first but after trailing a steroid cream for a week it didn’t work so I was switched to a steroid/anti fungal cream combo which I used for 3 days at the start of this week. Now for the last 4 days and also currently I’ve been switched to a antifungal cream only to be treated for a penile yeast/fungal infection on my glans which was confirmed from the swaps after getting my tests results back. My doctor has made me apply the cream to both areas the shaft and glans.
Now my question is I’ve read that these Anti fungal creams damage Latex condoms and make them a lot less effective? So in the meantime do I have to just completely avoid sex with my partner can I use a non latex alternative? I’ve attached images of one that I have got to get your thoughts along with the anti fungal cream I’m using. My doc said it’s not particularly spreadable the infection I’ve got but she still said to avoid sex if possible.
I’ve just attached images of the non latex condom I have plus the anti fungal cream I’m still currently using along with the Hydrozole combo steroid/anti fungal cream which I haven’t used since Wednesday so about 4 days now.

Brief Answer:
Anti fungal cream don’t damage latex condom
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached photographs.
Antifungal creams don't damage the latex condoms and do not decrease its efficacy. You can use either of the two- latex and non latex condoms.
You should not go for unprotected intercourse till the time this yeast infection is treated.
Infact you should use condom while having intercourse.
Also use only a plain antifungal cream on the affected areas twice for 2 weeks.

Hey doctor thanks for the reply I ended up using the non latex variant however after sex this morning I noticed the area when I pulled the foreskin back was very red and irritated could this just be the friction from sex that irritated the area would the redness go down it’s mainly the foreskin that’s red rather than the glans? Afterward sex I had a shower and I applied the antifungal cream still whilst also washing the lubricant from the condom off.
Brief Answer:
Welcome
Detailed Answer:
Yes the redness seems to be related to the friction associated with intercourse.
The redness will go down on its own in few hours.
You can continue with the antifungal cream.
