Hey Doctor, Just Before I Noticed These Black Looking Specs
Question: Hey doctor,
Just before I noticed these black looking specs on both sides of my inner thighs. They aren’t raised and are kind of flat and I can kind of scrub them off but haven’t properly tried. What exactly is this, is it just dirt or could it possibly be a fungal infection? I have attached images of both sides so you can see what it looks like could this be related to the type of underwear I wear I tend to wear briefs that don’t go over my legs.

It doesn’t itch or hurt in anyway I just noticed it so I am unsure if it would be any type of infection right?
Brief Answer:
Non specific dermatitis,
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached photographs.
These seem to be looking like a non specific dermatitis which could be due to friction or moisture in this area.
It is not looking like an infection.
I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for 5-7 days.
This should resolve it.
