Hey Doctor The Last Couple Weeks I’ve Been Having Symptoms
Question: Hey doctor the last couple weeks I’ve been having symptoms of balanitis. At first I was prescribed an anti-fungal cream which just seem to make everything redder and worse which I used for about 5 days. Then I was given an antibiotic cream called Mupirocin 2% (Bactroban) which I used for another 5 days. Neither of these creams really helped a lot and what’s worse is the smegma on my foreskin just sticks to it and it’s incredibly difficult to get off just with water, and I can’t use soap because of how irritated the area is. Are there any non medicated creams that would help like an oil like coconut oil or moisturer that you’d recommend just to get the smegma off? I feel like it’s not infection based but more so irritation as I’ve done a bunch of tests that have shown negative for infection which I have attached and plus the fact these creams aren’t doing much and I’d assume they’d be quite effective if it was an infection right?
My doctor prescibed me a second antibiotic ointment it try called fucidin cream 2% but I am super hesitant to try anymore antibiotic creams since the first one did nothing and I don’t want to completely destroy the bacteria in the area and make things worse or create some type of resistant bacteria there.

How would I apply it would I leave it on during the day/overnight and what do you mean by fat moisturiser cream. I’ve attached some images of one I saw at the shops would these be suitable?
Brief Answer:
Day and night, a thin layer
Detailed Answer:
Hi again,
I suggest you try the Vitamin E skin repair cream, alternatively, ask an employee at the pharmacy for a fat cream for dry skin. Apply it twice daily (one at night) in a thin layer for a few weeks.
Hope this helps.
