Question: Hey i just want to ask, can a 3 yr old root canal have infection or problems without toothache? And Would it cause facial swelling?

Well it is possible for a root canal treated tooth to get
re-infected.
It can also cause facial swelling but is many a times associated with pain.
Painĺess swelling can sometimes be due to cyst formation.

So once get a clinical examination of the tooth done and get an x ray done.

okay thank you, can you explain tooth related csyt? would i see it or is it possibleto not show on surface of gum? because looking at gums its some dark areas around tooth and red.

Cyst can apper over the gum as a round swelling.
For a confirmation you should get an x ray of the tooth done
