You have been trying for conception since more than one year.
So as per guideline, you need further investigations both for you and your male partner.
(assuming that you might have not done any investigation as you have not visited a doctor, please let me know if otherwise).

Investigate as follow for primary work up...
For male partner...
-semen analysis of your partner (to check sperm count and motility)
-serum FSH, LH and testosterone estimation of your partner (to check any Hormonal problem)

For you...
-your serum TSH estimation (to exclude hypothyroidism)
-Serum prolactin (to exclude hyperprolactinemia)
-Ultrasonography pelvis and abdomen ( to check polycystic ovary disease if present)
-Serum LH, FSH, DHEA, testosterone estimation (to exclude Hormonal problem)

Meanwhile, you both can try unprotected intercourse maximum between 12-18 days of the cycle that is around ovulation time.
