Hey There, I Ve Been Having Pain In Left Knee

Around 2 months ago when I started it again after 2 weeks gap, as I sat down even with the light weight I felt unbearable pain in my left knee. This time it was far worse. For the following 2-3 weeks I felt pain whenever I bent my left knee and sometimes in walking/taking stairs also. Now it's much better but still I can’t even do body weight squats as it starts to hurt there. Please suggest.
P.S. Whenever I sit down and then sit up doing any activity, my both knees make some 'click' sort of sound. This has been there since many years.
MRI scan needed to rule out any ligament injury.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have gone through your query and understand your health concerns ,
The pain in the knee that you are feeling can be related to an injury to the inner knee structures like ligaments or meniscus. This can be related to a minor capsular inflammation of the knee also. The clicking sound in the knee is more suggestive of a ligament injury.
This needs an MRI scan of the knee for proper diagnosis. You can consult an orthopedician for proper examination and treatm ent after an MRI scan. Till then for relief -
1. Avoid any strenuous knee exercises, lifting weights, climbing stairs, cycling, etc.
2. Take a mild pain killer like acetaminophen every 8 hourly.
3. Do a hot fomentation in the area twice daily.
4. You can apply a local analgesic gel like Volini also.
5. Use an elastic knee brace for better knee support while walking.
I hope this answers your query.
