Hi - I Was Diagnosed With Fairly High Blood Pressure

Question: Hi - I was diagnosed with fairly high blood pressure today - I have a very high BMI (from being too fat) but I have a low resting heart rate (approx 58 bpm) - which is said to be bradycardia, but I also walk a lot (usually over 6 miles a day, some days more than 10 if I have time) - I usually maintain a rate of around 3 mph for the walks which range in length from 2-5 miles (I do multiple sets of walks per day)
I also read that potassium rich foods like tomato, broccoli, spinach - foods I use to help lose weight (I have been a lot more obese unfortunately) are verboten - and with the heart rate thing as well I’m terrified, I feel trapped - I don’t know what to do... I’m 42 and male for reference.

Brief Answer:
Go for an ECG to rule out cardiac arrhythmia.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
In some individuals the heart rate is slightly lower than normal but it is not a sign of any significant illnesses. People like athletes have low heart rate, in your case the low heart rate is may be due to daily walking.
However an ECG may be considered to rule out conditions like XXXXXXX arrhythmias.
ACE inhibitors does not have any interaction with food and no food affect the efficacy of ACE inhibitors.
Consult a cardiologist for expert opinion.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
