Question: Hi- for the past 4 years, I get dark circles under my eyes. It gives like a blackish color to it and it's a bit puffy, but not like bags. I have allergies. I wake up and they are there. They come and go. I have been to a dermatologist for it. I don't have sleep issues. Any idea of what this is or what to do next to diagnose?

Brief Answer:
A number of causes

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ma’am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but this is probably due sinus inflammation and allergy which releases histamines. histamines tend to cause vasodilation of blood vessels lead to puffy and dark under eyes area. However, this. an also be due to dehydration, prolonged sun exposure , stress or familial susceptibility. This is why I would recommend that you always wear a sun screen and that you keep yourself adequately hydrated with at least eight cups of water daily..
In the meanwhile you should apply cold compresses twice daily, elevate your head while sleeping and avoid stress. If these measures didn’t improve the condition then you should consider cosmetic procedures such as fillers or laser application. I hope you find this helpful
