Hi,
Thanks for posting our query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
Your ALT is more than 2 times the upper limit of normal which is significant.
Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease is the most common cause of raised ALT.
Some of the risk factors of NAFLD are obesity, high blood glucose and high cholesterol, some of which you have.
Though you have controlled your blood glucose, your weight is still very high.
Your BMI is about 38 which is very high ( I presume the weight of 127 you have mentioned is in kilograms)
You need to reduce your weight and keep the BMI at below 25.
You need to undergo few other tests as well to rule out other causes of altered LFT and that includes-
1. Viral markers ( HBsAg, Anti HCV
2. Tests for metabolic and autoimmune liver diseases.
You can consult a liver specialist for these tests.
Meanwhile in addition to reducing weight, you can take Silymarin, Vitamin E and Obeticholic acid for relief.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.
