Hi 2 Weeks Ago I Have Been To A&E Because

Question: Hi
2 weeks ago I have been to A&E because of my heart rate being over 100. I also suffer of hypothyroidism, which I found out last year. I started to take 50mcg of levothyroxine for 6 weeks(sometime in February) and then on the repeated blood test I was fine and the GP stopped the medication. In XXXXXXX I fell pregnant and my new GP put me back on levothyroxine 50mcg, then 75mcg and then 100mcg daily. The rest of the pregnancy I have taken 100mcg. Due some errors in the GP 2 of my blood tests have been mistaken to other and at the end I have not been tested again since January on thyroid function. I have given birth at the end of February and continue taking the 100mcg levothyroxine. Two weeks ago(13th of May) I started to have palpitations and therefore I went for check in A&E and they found out I had a drug overdose (levothyroxine overdose)+sinus tachycardia. My last ECG before discharge was normal and I have been given beta blockers to help with the palpitations until my thyroid hormones are going back to normal.
I have 4 days since I finished the medication but I still have some just in case.
I check my pulse regularly and although is never more than 90 I sometimes feel my heartbeat. Is still called palpitations ? When I take the beta blockers I don’t feel it. Could there be a different issue with it ? I do over think and feel a bit anxious, as I was expecting after treatment to be just fine.
Thank you

Hello
After going through the medical query raised by you I can understand your concern for your health and well-being and I would like to tell you that obviously some sort of stress will be there after going through all these ups and downs however a heart rate of less than hundred is technically not considered as tachycardia and is not capable of causing palpitations so that part could be because of your anxiousness.
Kindly upload your latest blood reports along with the ECG images so that I can personally review them and then guide you accordingly.
Kind Regards

Hi
Unfortunately, I don’t have the results as I have been to the state hospital. However, on my discharge paper is written ECG - NSR.
I don’t have have any other symptoms(no cough, pain or short of breath), just the high pulse, which now seems to be alright and didn’t go up again. Probably it was still the thyrotoxicosis.
Thank you

Hello again
Detailed Answer:
If your ecg has been reported as NSR (Normal sinus rhythm), then probably there is no rhythm abnormality.
Yes thyroid hormone imbalance has a significant effect on heart functioning and it can make a heart race like a horse.
Stress is also a very important factor of palpitations so stay clam and relaxed.
Just keep an eye your thyroid levels and things will be alright.
Feel free to ask if you have any other doubts.
Kind Regards
