Hi, 24 Hours Ago I Visited My Friend Who Has

Question: Hi, 24 hours ago I visited my friend who has been in hospital the 3 days getting blood tests because she has been feeling sick with a rash, a headache for 2 weeks that won't go away, strong fatigue, sore throat. Anyway I had a meal sitting next to her and a drink which she handled. I then discovered she was transported from a small town to the city here in an ambulance and given many pills and blood tests and is going back to hospital tomorrow. I'm concerned as tonight 24 hours later, I'm feeling quite I'll and feel a flu like sickness coming on and is hitting me hard. Foggy vision and weakness like a flu is coming. My friend is now being very distant and hard to get hold of and I don't know what's wrong with her. Whatever it is it sounds bad because hospital is keeping her in for testing. I haven't known her long but she has tattoos and I'm worried could this be acute HIV infection? I read this can occur within days of infection from someone newly infected because of their high viral load. I know it's only been 24 hours, but many years ago I contracted a glandular fever type virus within a day from someone who was sick I was then very sick within a day and took years to recover. Also I'm in Vietnam in a big city which is pretty clean, not in a small town. Im here from Australia. Do I need to see a doctor? Could this be HIV infection if she had fluids on her hands which touched my cup? Many thanks

Brief Answer:
Not much like HIV symptoms.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I think the symptoms you are experiencing may not be related to HIV infection.
HIV is not transmitted with food or saliva, neither to with air and breathing.
HIV is only transmitted with blood or with sexual infection.
Your friend also doesn't have a certain diagnosis.
The symptoms you are experiencing may be related to flu infection or other diseases but risk of HIV is really low.
The HIV is not infected even though you may have drunk from the same cup or kissed her.
I think the symptoms you are having may be related to flu or common cold.
I don't think visiting a doctor is much necessary.
You can take Tylenol or acetaminophen.
You should get better in 3 to 5 days.
If not visit a doctor.

Hope I have answered the question.
