Hi. A Week Ago I Noticed A Middle Size Mass

Question: Hi. A week ago I noticed a middle size mass red and swollen, that was never there before, on my upper arm . It did not look like it contained any fluid but I squeezed it anyway a few times to see if something comes out. It did not. I did not pay much attention for the rest of the day but the next day the red mass was still there and it seems like it was getting harder. The size seemed a little bigger. Then I put some antibiotic ointment I had in my cabinet. For the next days I put the ointment and I covered it with a bandage. But the mass still remained red and now it seems like it has some sort of superficial open skin in the middle that does not want to heal at all. It does not look like it has any fluid coming out of it but it's an open skin that does not seem to heal even if I continue rubbing it everyday with alcohol and then put the triple antibiotic ointment and keep it covered with a bandage. Do you have any idea what this can be? I want to say that I never had any problems with my skin before and this looks really out of normal for me. Thank you.

I did upload a photo. Please, let me know what you think it is after seeing it. I do not have diabetes. I did not feel any bite around the period when I discover the bump on my arm.
Brief Answer:
Localized cellulitis
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback and clear photo.
This looks to be local cellulitis without abscess formation.
I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Do not fondle with it, no popping please.
A course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory should help to resolve this well. You need a valid prescription from your Doctor.
Avoid compression bandaging or dressing.
All these things together can help you get rid of this.
In a rare care may need a small XXXXXXX if the abscess develops.
I hope this answer helps you.
Please feel free to give feedback and ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
