Question: Hi,
After having my period, I started a new pack of Vienva birth control pills on 7/25. On 7/26, I had unprotected sex and then missed a pill. I normally take my pill at 8pm, I took it instead at 11am on 7/27. Do I need to take emergency contraceptive?

It is best to take emergency contraception

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for trusting us with your health question

Since you missed a pill and had unprotected sex, it is best to take emergency contraception to avoid pregnancy.
Take Plan B emergency contraceptive within 72 hours of unprotected sex.
