Probably temporary

Detailed Answer:
Hi Aurelien,

It is possible for something like this to happen, and it is most certainly temporary.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.

That's very good news!

I had a burning sensation after peeing and ejaculation. They checked my urine (results attached) and gave me the first treatment with antibiotics that did not work so well (Melact 200mg - 2 times a day for 5 days). 2 days after stopping the antibiotics, I started to get hurt again and my ejaculation was small compared to usual.

I have then made an STD test (I attached the results here), it was negative. Could these be false-negative results due to the first antibiotic course I have taken? (i did it a day after stopping the first treatment)

I went to see a urologist who gave me an antibiotic injection (I don't know the name of it), 5 days of Ciprobay 500mg 2 times a day + something called Prostagutt (it says for BPH on the packaging).

I am in the middle of the antibiotics course right now and my semen fluid just turned a little bit yellow (still small amount of semen compared to usual). Is it something to worry about or does it just means that the antibiotics are working?

The urologist I visited is analyzing my urine but it takes 4 days as he is making culture or something like that so I don't exactly know what causes the infection.

Thanks a lot for your answers. Those should be my last questions (I worry about this thing, sensitive part of the body for a man!)

Brief Answer:
Probably caused by infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

It definitely sounds like an infection is causing your semen to appear different in color and amount. I suggest you watch and wait and if your semen is still different looking once you finish the antibiotics, you should write again.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have further questions.

Alright,

So I went back to see the urologist who said that the infection was not due to STDs. It was another type of bacteria but he did not tell which one it was.

They performed a new urine test that showed there was no trace of infection anymore (normal WBC count).

I asked about my ejaculation problem. What worries me is the reduced volume of it. But to be honest, he did not answer me at all.

He just told me to keep taking the antibiotics for 2 more weeks. So I gave up asking because after asking 3 times, I still did not get any answer.

Since there is no infection anymore, I should be able to ejaculate a normal amount of semen right? Or is it common, based on your experience to still get symptoms like that even after an infection is cured?

I know you can't guess from an email and I don't expect you to make a diagnostic remotely. Just wondering about your experience as a doctor. So I can get an idea of what are my chance to live with this condition lifelong.

Thanks a lot,

Brief Answer:
How much has the volume changed?

Detailed Answer:
Hi again,

How much has the volume of the ejaculate changed? I would expect things to slowly get back to normal once the infection was cured.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

One week ago it was almost inexistent and the feeling was different than usual. I feel like it's slightly better now but it's still very low compared to usual.

Maybe I should stop checking every day aha
