Hello!

Welcome to Ask a Doctor service!

I understand your concern and would explain that this situation is related to pure ice adverse effects.

You should know that this substance can raise your blood pressure, your heart rate, cause anxiety and increase the risk of heart attack or cardiac arrhythmia.

For this reason, I would absolutely recommend avoiding it in the future.

In the meantime, I would recommend taking plenty of fluids in order to increase urination and push away the substance from your body.

A tablet of Captopril 25mg sublingually can help too. It is also important avoiding physical activity and having some rest, until your situation is improved.

But, if high blood pressure persists, I would recommend going to the ER for a physical exam, a resting ECG and some blood lab tests, including cardiac enzymes. Taking IV drugs to help lower blood pressure values may be needed.

Hope to have been helpful!

Wishing all the best,

Should I continue the Valsart cartia and metoprolol? And what about the zannex? And if so how often?

Detailed Answer:
Hello again!

I would recommend taking metoprolol 100mg twice daily, valsartan 320/25 once daily.

I would not recommend taking Cartia, as its main action is on the heart rate and switch to amlodipine 10mg once daily, which is a calcium channel blocker which can help lower blood pressure values.

Regarding Xanax, I would recommend taking 0.5mg three times daily.

Hope you will find this answer helpful!
