Brief Answer:
Explained below

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor,

I have gone through your query,

Yes, it is absolutely normal and appropriate to induce labour with medications if she is not getting them naturally. Though this decision may be controversial mong some doctors as to wait or not for a few more days, personally I suggest it is good to induce labour if she is over her due date as prolonging the pregnancy can have some effects on the baby.

Meanwhile, you can make sure that she do some pelvic floor exercises as well as some walking and climbing stairs, which are known to help induce labour pains naturally. If not, nothing to worry about, she can be safely admitted as per her doctor's opinion for further induction.

I hope this helps,
Please feel free to discuss further,

Regards
