Hi Doctor: For Years, I Have Been Having On And
Question: Hi Doctor:
For years, I have been having on and off issues with my left leg knee. Every time when I run for a long time/days or do sit ups, I get pain under my knee on the backside of the leg. I don't necessarily feel any pain in the bone but rather a pain when I fold my leg, meaning when I sit down I feel there is a wire under my knee and it will break. I can't put pressure on the leg when I fold it or sit down.
I also feel some pain towards the right side of the knew after running for a long time or few days..
I also got an xray done a few years ago and it came all clear.
Please advise!
Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Consider examination by an orthopedician...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The symptoms you describe is not very specific and doesn't relate to any known medical condition. The closest possibility that I can think of is inflammation. X-ray may not be able to identify it.
I will recommend you visit an orthopedician and get a detailed knee examination done. If necessary a CT scan / MRI of the knee should be performed. Treatment will be based on the results.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.
