Question: Hi Doctor.

Hope your doing well

I did a blood test in my corporate office and in that my monocytes count is 17 which is very less and normal should be at 200.

In 2016 i did the same test in my corporate office and i got 333 monocytes count. I am worried how it is decresed to such low count.

Please suggest me what will cause if the count is less and how can i improve in further.

Brief Answer:
Can you upload the reports?

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Also if just one parameter is low and rest of the report is normal and there are no symptoms, then I will repeat the complete blood count in one week from another laboratory.

There can be many causes of low monocyte count like steroidal medicines, bone marrow suppression, infections, radiotherapy, leukemia etc.

Kindly upload the reports so that I am better able to help.
