Hi Doctor, I Am 27 Years Old And Up Until

Question: Hi Doctor,

I am 27 years old and up until 5 months ago I had absolutely no idea that uncircumcised men were able to retract their foreskin. I never was able or even tried to retract my foreskin all of these years because I never knew that we were supposed to. So when I found out about it 5 months ago I went to my doctor and he prescribed me triamcinolone cream. I applied the cream on the tip of my penis and did my stretching excersizes with q-tips and, to my XXXXXXX I was able to retract my foreskin past my glans on the very first day (something I wasn't able to do before). I stopped doing the streching excersizes after about a week. I started doing it again for about another week but stopped again because I think I was stretching too hard and it caused some painful tears on the ring of my foreskin. I am able to retract fully with a flaccid penis but can only retract over my glans when my penis is erect. When I have an erection my foreskin becomes so tight right after the glans of the penis that I am unable to retract any more.

If I do more stretching and apply the cream will my phimosis completely disappear? Or is it possible that my phimosis can only be corrected half way? Since I was able to stretch it this much to have it be completely retracted while flaccid is it possible that it won't stretch anymore while erect?

also, I was also wondering why causes phimosis? It made me very insecure especially reading online that phimosis is extremely rare and that 99.9% of little boys are able to naturally retract their penis. Why would I be in such a rare category with my foreskin?

Brief Answer:
You have partial Phimosis and need to get Circumcised

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query
Based on the facts that you have have posted you seem to have Partial Phimosis. This will never get cured by stretching or any other means. .

Since it is absolutely essential to get Foreskin to get retracted completely over Glans Penis to have a safe penetration of vagina and to have enjoyable sex the only option is to get Circumcised

. It is a very simple surgery carried out as a day care procedure done under local anasthesia and resolve the problem for ever.

Thanks and Regards

I don’t want to get circumaition though. Since I only stretched for 2 weeks is it possible that if I stretch longer the skin will become flexible? Since it is just skin won’t it stretch if I keep stretching it?

I've heard of many stories where stretching worked permanently so maybe I will try stretching for another month and see where the results are. I don't think circumcision is going to be an option for me because I don't really trust anybody operating in case of a potential complication or messing up.

Is there a cause for phimosis? Why is it that most boys foreskin retracts within the first few years of life and a small percentage doesn't retract?

would you still recommend circumsition if the stretching excerzies do not work?

i can pull it bak entirely when flaccid and clean the penis really well. as long as my penis stays clean would there be any concerns if the foreskin cannot retract entirely while erect?

Brief Answer:
Circumcision is required to have enjoyable sex

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up
During intercourse foreskin has to be retracted completely over the glans Penis of erected penis to penetrate vagina . Foreskin acts as a sleeve over the glans during thirsting movements during sex . Friction of the foreskin against vagina gives sensation of sexual satisfaction .

Incomplete retraction of Foreskin gives pain while penetrating vagina and during sex hence circumcision is advised
so that friction of glans penis gives pleasure of sex .

That’s so annoying....I really feel like if I get circumsized that all these complications will occur.

Is there seriously no other way I can make the foreskin loosen up? Is there a stronger cream I can use?

It’s just skin. How hard could it be to just permanatly fix this without having to resort to surgery

Then what is the purpose of triamcinolone cream? I used it for one day and was able to finally get my entire glans out.

Also, if we don't need a foreskin why are we biologically born with one?

Brief Answer:
Triamcenalone is a steroid cream recompiled for fungal infection

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up.

Triamcenalone is a steroid cream generally prescribed for genital fungal infection .Since it has greasy base it acts as a lubricant giving a soothing effect and helps to increase elasticity temporarily .It is not retraction during flaccid state but it is important whether it is retracted over glans penis after erection to facilitate painless penetration of vagina ,

I have already explained role of Foreskin during sexual intercourse but when the said purpose is defeated due to congenital diffect (Phimosis ) it needs to be excised by surgery of Circumcision to have a pleasure of sex .

Thanks and Regards.

but if i get circumcised then i also would no longer have a foreskin to enjoy sex that way either...

what are the chances that the circumsition procedure will have a lasting and serious effect regarding penile infection or erections or sensitiivity?

Brief Answer:
There are no side effects of Circumcision

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for follow up
Circumcision exposes glans penis to atmosphere which gets keratinised within few months making it desensitised to certain extent this makes intercourse prolonged and one can enjoy sex for a loner duration than a person with intact foreskin. It also makes glans less susceptible to infection and cancer .This is the reason why Penile infection and cancer of the penis are uncommon in Muslim community who get Circumcised in early childhood
.
