Hi Doctor, I Am Currently Residing In A Paying Guest

Question: Hi Doctor,
I am currently residing in a paying guest house. I became acquainted with service boys working in the guest house. I had a friendly hand fight with my fingers, like pressing the wrist of room service boy with my thumb and he too did the same on my wrist. I made sure that, there is no cuts on my skin as well as his skin after the friendly fight.
I know that, the service boy is healthy and does not have any sexually transmitted diseases.
However suppose if he has any STD, is there any risk of me contracting HIV,HepB,HepC,VDRL,etc.
I am already on sertraline 100mg for my health anxiety,OCD.
Regards,
Shan

HIV can not be transmitted through casual contacts.
I am practising HIV Medicine for the past 30 years and handle my patients daily and I was a consultant for a children home for two years where I handle so many children with skin diseases and even with bleeding wounds. Nearly 36 million people living with HIV around the world. Their family members and care givers, staffs of an hospitals are daily caring them. So many including me would have microscopic abrasion over our fingers when we handle them. But we are free from HIV for years. Street fights are going on daily everywhere. No body got HIV through this way. So you need not worry about this incident and forget the same.

Hi Doctor,
You have mentioned that 'HIV can not be transmitted through casual contacts'
In the above sentence 'can not' refers to 'cannot' right, like the below
'HIV cannot be transmitted through casual contacts'.
Just asking for re-assurance.

Shan

Brief Answer:
HIV cannot be transmitted by just a skin to skin external contact
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
Yes, I mean that. HIV transmission through casual contact is very much uncommon or unusual. It needs exchange of body fluids to get transmitted from one person to another.
