Question: Hi Doctor, I am six month pregnant and have acute gastric abdominal pain. I have tried many medicines including PanD and nexpro, mucain gel antacid. None is working and showing any improvement. Pain starts after every meal and continues for three hours. currently I am in bland liquid diet and unable to eat anything else. Blood test for pancreas and abdomen scans are done, all are normal. I am unable to digest anything other than liquid. Please suggest

Detailed Answer:

Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
Can try doing following test once
1) cbc esr, CRP, GamaGT
2) Stool routine and occult blood x 3 samples for 3 different days
3) stool modified Z N stain x 3 samples for 3 different days

worthwhile trying following things
1) eat on time
2) sleep properly for 8 hours
3) ensure regular walk / light exercises / yoga
4) Avoid stress anxiety
5) avoid tea coffee aerated drinks
6) try reducing the dose of antacids you are taking

All these should be done after confirming with your gynecologist.
The test of these reports can be shown to your local doctor or sent to me.
Hope this answers your query.
