Hi Doctor, I Have A Knee Problem It Started By
![default](/r/images/default.png)
I have a knee problem it started by feeling as if my knee bones are loose when I am walking. What I mean is it feels like rolling dices and it makes my walking a bit wobbly when I am walking. This only affects my right knee.
It wasn't painful but just that effect that was a bit awkward.
I went to the doctors and I was given Naproxen to use for two weeks.
I am almost into these two weeks and I have started feeling pain and a little hard to walk or bend my knees.
Please what could be this knee problem? And what causes the pain please despite using a drug? There was no pain initially when I went to complain, it started after.
Many thanks for your help.
Kind Regards,
Melody
Can be due to arthritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The wobbly feeling while walking can be due to laxity of the ligaments. The pain in the joints can be due to arthritic changes in the knee joint. This can be confirmed after an MRI scan of the knee. The pain can be related to inflammatory changes. Taking regular joint lubricant supplements, hot compress, application of local analgesic gel like Volini and regular physiotherapy can help in improvement of the symptoms.
I hope this answers your query.

Many thanks for your quick response and good wishes.
Please does this mean, I really don't need an operation?
While I wait to see a doctor, please what can be done to ease the pain?
Many thanks for your help.
Kind Regards,
Melody
Continue with the pain killer.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You first need to get an MRI scan done to find the cause. Surgery is the last option. You can continue with the pain killer, avoid all painful movements, do a hot compress and apply a local analgesic gel for relief.
Hope my answer is helpful.
