Brief Answer:
Inguinal Hernia should be excluded

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Pain in the Groin area can be due to Inguinal Hernia. Most of the time, it presents as a Swelling in the groin area. But, only pain will be present in the early stages or in a small Hernia. Ultrasound abdomen, CT scan abdomen will confirm Hernia
Another common condition in that area of Groin and Thigh is Inguinal Lymph node enlargement. Ultrasound of that area will give a clue.

Till investigations, Pain killers can be taken.
Please consult a Surgeon and proceed further.
Nothing to worry about.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Pain killer that contains Aceclofenac and Paracetamol is better

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I prescribe tablets containing Aceclofenac and Paracetamol to my patients with similar complaints.
Lifting heavy weights is one of the risk factors for the development of Inguinal hernia. But, you lifted 9 months back. It might have initiated the formation of Hernia. Simple Musculoskeletal pain can. also produce these symptoms.

If the pain is not subsiding with Pain killers, you should be investigated.
Nothing to worry about.

Hope I answered your question.
Regards
