Question: Hi Doctor,

I have anxiety associated with STDs. I got tested for HIV, Hep C, Hep B, VDRL. All are negative or non-reactive.

I am on sertraline 100mg for my health anxiety.

Today my query is about dementia.
I came across something called AIDS associated Dementia.
Kindly confirm that Alzheimer's dementia, Vascular dementia, Frontotemporal Dementia and AIDS associated Dementia are different dementias. Please confirm that Dementia can occur even without HIV & AIDS.

Regards,
Shan

Thank you Doctor.. So Alzheimer's disease, vitamin B12 deficiency,Vascular dementias, FTD,AIDS dementia are totally different right?

Internal Medicine MD doctor and MD psychiatrist from NIMHANS both has confirmed that I am not suffering from HIV,HepB,Hep C,VDRL.

Hence I don't need to worry right? These thoughts are only because of my Anxiety right?
