Question: Hi Doctor,
I have been suffering from UTI quite a few times this year after I got married. Its quite painful and I also have a problem of my urine passing while I sneeze. Please recommend something.

Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) It is common to have UTI after marriage and is called honeymoon cystitis.

2) Please get urine culture and sensitivity test done. You can use the appropriate antibiotic as per sensitivity report.

3) This can be easily treated. Please get the urine culture and sensitivity test from nearest laboratory and let me know the report.

This is common during initial part of married life due to frequent sex. Drink more water and butter milk.
