Question: Hi Doctor,
I have seen some kind of rash for the past few days on my one underarm. It was initially small but, has increased a bit in size now. Sometimes there is itching associated as well.
I am attaching the pics. Please check and let me know what could be the probable cause and cure for it. Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Dermatitis, topical steroid and antihistaminic

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Ask A Doctor service...
I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached photographs.

It seems to be dermatitis which is inflammation of the skin.
It can occur due to the use of deodorant or tight and synthetic clothes or due to an allergy to something used in this area.

If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply topical steroid like clobetasol propionate cream on the affected area twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg once daily at bedtime for 10-12 days.

This should resolve this rash.

Steroidal preparations are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.

Dr Asmeet
