Hi Doctor, I Have Started Playing Badminton From Past 3
Question: Hi Doctor,
I have started playing badminton from past 3 months and i am having muscle pain in my right hand between shoulder and elbow from past 10 days. In starting days i used to have it at the end of my play session and wear off over time but from past couple of days i feel it even though i am playing. I wanted to get your opinion on why is this happening and what should i do to get relief from it so that i can play badminton with full potential?
I am 6 feet height and 109 kg weight (before 3 months) and now i am at ~104. I usually play around 1 hour in the morning mostly without taking a break.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have gone through your details .
In my opinion this pain between your shoulder and elbow , which is increasing in intensity leading to pain while playing, occurs due to muscle or tendon overuse . More you overuse ,more will it get worse.
The remedy ,which could be useful in your case is to stop playing for few days ( about 10-14 days) and then restart playing for few minutes increasing gradually to current levels over few months.
Hope it works for you also. In case it recurs then consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination.
Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.
