Hi Doctor, I Went To Unprofessional Massage Parlour. Massage Girl
I went to unprofessional massage parlour. Massage girl done massage for 40 minutes and finally she did a 5 minutes hand job for me. In that mean time i pressed her boobs for 5 minutes. No kiss and no penetrative sex. Since I don't know her HIV status. I am worried. Assuming if she is HIV positive. What is my risk? Do i need test? Is it safe going massage parlour monthly once? Pls help.
Thanks.
Your activities carry almost 'nil' risk for HIV infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome once again to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
You are absolutely safe. Even if we consider that massage parlor girl is HIV positive, the activities mentioned by you, carry almost'nil' risk for HIV transmission.
Hand job by some one has no risk for HIV, as well as handling the boobs also carry no risk for HIV infection. If your activities restricted to the above said limit, then you need not test for HIV. Regarding the safety concern, I will not recommend to have a visit to Massage Parlor once in a month... as we can not predict our sexual mood, sexual activities, intimacy and the status of these girls every time.

If I want to take test what test you recommend me to take and what is the window period of the test? Is that ag/ab combo test by cmia method is reliable @ 4 weeks?
4th generation Combo test is highly reliable
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.
HIV Ag/Ab combo test is highly reliable 4th generation HIV test.
It has two parts:
Antigen detection and antibody detection. HIV antigen can be detected even earlier, but can be considered as conclusive by 3-4 weeks after the risky activities whereas the Antibody part can be detected around 6 weeks, but becomes more conclusive by 12 weeks after the exposure.
Antigen detection is only for HIV 1 and antibody detection can detect or rule out both HIV 1 and 2. HIV 2 is very rare possibility to the extent of less than 1%.
If you want to test for HIV, my advice would be, take up the test 12 weeks after the risky activity, so that the test will be more confirmatory and conclusive.
