Question: Hi Doctor, I’m a 25 year old male. Lately I have been dizzy and my feet feel funny. I also have this weird nerve pain in my right leg. Are these connected? Iron deficiency? I’m scared and want it to be ok. I recently quit alchohol as I drank 5 times a week and I really get dizzy from caffeine.

Brief Answer:
It may be vitamin B12 deficiency.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask A Doctor" service.

I have read your query.

If you used too much alcohol is more likely to be low vitamin B12 levels than iron deficiency that is causing your issues.

This may justify all your symptoms.

It is necessary for you to eat healthily, exercise, and you can use an one-month supplements of vitamin B12.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
