Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have seen the prescription and read the details.
Degenerative arthritis of the spine - cervical or lumbar, is a very common problem. In layman's terms it can be described as ageing wear and tear in the spine. It generally presents with pain and paresthesia( altered sensations) in the affected area.
The treatment is generally with medicines and physiotherapy + Regular muscle strengthening exercises of the region. Normally this problem can be controlled.
Thanks for the question. Please feel free to ask any other question.

Thank you, Doctor for the quick response. I have uploaded a written statement from the Doctor whom my cousin consulted in the US.
1) Can my cousin go for Chiropractic treatment instead of Physiotherapy?
2) Are there any particular vitamins that needs to be taken?
3) Should he follow any specific diet restrictions?
4) Does people get this problem because they stay in very cold and snowy regions in the US?

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have no idea about Chiropractic ,so no comments.
This is not due to vitamin deficiency as such. But I would recommend tests for osteoporosis.
Again diet as such has no role.
Cold and snowy regions cannot cause but may increase the pain.
Thanks
