Question: Hi Doctor,
My daughter is 2.6 years old. She suffers from cough and cold usually every 1-2 months. Also, fever is accompanied sometimes. For the past 1 month, she has got fever 3-4 times though, it lasted only for a day. But, cough and runny nose is still there for past 2 weeks.

Last year we had given her Munostim globules for 2-3 months and the condition in those months was better though she still got cough and cold once or twice in that duration. She goes to day care hence, there may be more chances for getting infections from other children as well (just wanted to tell you for your information). Also, she doesn't eat well. We have to make her sit and eat and then only she eats and that too a little.

Having said all this, I have following queries:
- Shall we give her some medicine which may help in improving her immunity against this usual cough, cold and fever etc?
- Could you please suggest some medicine which may help in increasing her appetite?

Based on the details provided and due analysis of previous history i am suggesting some of the medicine and suggest you to start medicine as prescribed

Dulcamara 30 2 drops three times in a day
Ars Alb 2 drops three times in a day XXXXXXX Sulph 6X 2 tab 4 times
Amon Carb 30 2 drop once in night only

Take medicine for a 1 month and then update me accordingly

You can also update me after 15-20 days if fever exist

Thanks for your reply.

Based on the history provided by me, what could be the reason for frequent cough and cold and fever associated sometimes? Any precautions we should take?

She goes to daycare hence, giving medicines 3 or 4 times to her is an issue for us. We can give her medicines in the morning and in the evening or around 8 am, 7:30 pm and 11 pm....will it be ok? Can we give XXXXXXX sulph 3 times as per the above timings instead of 4 times as this is the maximum we an give as she is in day care during the day. Please suggest.

- I hope Ars Alb is "Arsenic Album". It has to be taken in 30 CH or 200 CH?

Reason
There might be following reason. She might have taken anything cold or season change /exposure to cold. As you know she already had such episode earlier so because of seasonal change she might got infection.

Precaution
