Question: Hi Doctor,
My daughter is 2.7 yrs old.

- She is sneezing since yesterday. Also, she was having fever yesterday during the day and night around 100 F
- She is complaining of stomach ache as well since yesterday at random times during the day

We have given her Alerid 5 ml yesterday and Calpol suspension.
Please suggest:

- What shall we do regarding stomach ache?
- Is alerid and calpol sufficient in this condition of sneezing and random fever?
- Also, please suggest what food shall we preferable give her or avoid giving her.

Hello...thank you for posting a direct query to me.
By what you say this looks like a viral illness.
Coming to your questions directly -
1. Stomach ache will be taken care of by Calpol as Paracetamol acts both for fever and pain. But if it is stomach burning sensation then you need to give Syrp Rantac (75mg/5ml) 5ml twice a day for 3 days.

2. Alerid and Calpol would do.

3. No need to avoid any specific food. But as there is stomach pain - better to avoid spicy food please.
